AC Milan are set to sign Niclas Fullkrug and Axel Disasi ahead of the winter transfer window.
This follows the permission given by Chelsea to allow the former Monaco defender move to San Siro in the January transfer window.
As for Fulkrugg, the German striker is expected to arrive in Milan on Tuesday and complete the move.
This follows reports that the Rossoneri are monitoring other defenders as well, struggling to find a balance between Massimiliano Allegri’s requests and the club’s decisions.
According to reports in Italy, Chelsea are ready to discuss Disasi’s move to Milan in the January transfer window. The ex-Monaco defender had been relegated to team B after being removed from the first team.
He has therefore been struggling with playing time at Stamford Bridge and has attracted interest from other European clubs as well.
Allegri also want Thiago Silva, a former Rossoneri star, as the ideal reinforcement in defence, but there was never a real negotiation, and the Brazilian ultimately joined Porto.
Since he is already out of the team plan, Chelsea is ready to release him, and they remain in good terms with Milan, despite past misunderstandings linked to the Mike Maignan situation.
Other reports suggest that the Rossoneri are in no rush and that the Club directors prefer to wait and assess other centre-back profiles, including Borussia Dortmund’s Niklas Süle, before making a final decision.
But with Chelsea giving them the greenlight, Disasi is definitely a good option.
In a related development, sources in Italy confirm that Fullkrug landed in Milan on Monday evening and will undergo medical tests with the Rossoneri on Tuesday.
Fullkrug is set to join Milan on loan from West Ham with an option to buy. The 32-year-old is expected to undergo medical tests with the Serie A giants today.
Sky Sport Italia and Gazzetta report that Fullkrug will train for the first time under Massimiliano Allegri on Wednesday, and he’ll be available for the first match of 2026 against Cagliari, thanks to a special FIGC approval.
According to Football Italia, the option to buy at the end of the season for Milan will be between €11m and €13m.
Fullkrug has not been getting any game time at West Ham this season, registering just 413 minutes of football across nine appearances and yet to score a goal in a competitive match in 2025-26.
