AC Milan have signed Belgium international Diego Moreira from RC Strasbourg until 2031.
According to reports, the total cost of the deal is €65m with add-ons.
According to reports, Portuguese agent Jorge Mendes, who oversaw the deal for Paris Saint-Germain striker Goncalo Ramos this summer, made it happen.
Sky Sport Italia reported that the deal breakdown is fixed at €45m + €20m in add-ons. It also reported that some of them are harder to activate than others.
According to Sky Sports Deutschland, there’s a fixed €54m fee and €11m in bonuses.
Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano tweeted: The deal is at €50m plus €16m add-ons and a sell-on clause too.
As for L’Equipe, the cost is €50m plus €10m in add-ons and a percentage of the future sale (with some estimating the eventual value at €70m).
The 21-year-old was in advanced talks with RB Leipzig only a fortnight ago before Milan jumped in with a deal.
Moreira arrived in Milan on Tuesday, underwent medical tests and signed the contract on Wednesday.
Moreira, who turns 22 soon, will wear the Number 22 jersey.
Before moving to Milan, the Belgian played for Standard Liege, Benfica and Olympique Lyonnais. Chelsea sold him to sister club RC Strasbourg for €8.5m in 2024.
In addition, Milan have generated a €56m profit from the sale of Tijjani Reijnders, who has joined Mateo Retegui’s Al-Qadsiah for €61m from Manchester City.
The midfielder left for Saudi Arabia a few weeks after turning 28 and a year after joining Manchester City.
The deal is said to be worth €54.9m plus up to €14m in bonuses.
Manchester City’s sale to Al-Qadsiah for €61m is a profit.
Reportedly, the Rossoneri have a specific clause in place that they had expected a move would happen, and asked Manchester City to guarantee that if the player was sold the next year, the entire €14m package of add-ons would need to be paid.
