Punjab FC have strengthened their midfield ahead of the 2026-27 season by signing French midfielder Mickael Ramon Vincent Malsa on a one-year deal, the club announced on Tuesday.
The 30-year-old has agreed a contract that will keep him with Punjab FC until May 31, 2027. He arrives with considerable experience across European football, including more than 60 appearances in Spain’s La Liga during a four-year spell with Levante UD.
Born in Paris, Malsa began his football journey in the youth system of FC Sochaux-Montbéliard before progressing into senior football in Ligue 1. His career has since taken him across several countries and competitions.
In France, the midfielder represented Sochaux and US Avranches before continuing his career abroad. He went on to play for Royal Antwerp in Belgium and Fortuna Sittard in the Netherlands, while also spending time on loan with Platanias in Greece.
Malsa later built significant experience in Spanish football. Apart from his spell with Levante, he has represented Albacete, Real Valladolid and CD Mirandés. He returned to Mirandés earlier this year before making the move to Punjab FC.
The midfielder has also played outside Europe, representing Moroccan club Wydad AC. During his time with Wydad, Malsa featured at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, adding another major competition to his career.
At international level, Malsa represents Martinique.
His arrival gives Punjab FC an experienced midfield option as the club prepares for the new campaign. Having played in different leagues and footballing environments, Malsa will be expected to bring experience and stability to the middle of the pitch.
Speaking after completing the move, Malsa expressed his excitement about beginning the next chapter of his career.

The signing adds an internationally experienced player to Punjab FC’s squad as preparations continue for the 2026-27 season.
