Punjab FC have strengthened their squad by signing Spanish forward Alfred Planas Moya on a one-year contract, with the agreement keeping him at the club until May 31, 2027.
Planas arrives after an impressive spell with Inter Kashi FC during the 2025-26 Indian Super League season, where he established himself as an influential attacking player.
The Spaniard developed through the youth systems of Espanyol, Malaga CF and CF Damm before beginning his senior career in Spain. Over the years, he represented several clubs, including UE Sant Andreu, CF Reus Deportiu, AD Alcorcon, Elche CF, Valencia Mestalla, Marbella FC, Unionistas and Sestao River, building extensive experience across Spanish football.
His move to India came in 2025 when he joined Gokulam Kerala. He later signed for Inter Kashi ahead of the 2025-26 Indian Super League campaign and quickly adapted to the competition. In 13 appearances, Planas scored five goals and registered one assist, making an immediate impact in his debut ISL season.
Punjab FC’s latest signing adds further attacking depth as the club looks to build on its recent progress. Planas now begins a new challenge with the Shers, aiming to carry his goalscoring form into the upcoming campaign.
Expressing his excitement after completing the move, Planas said, “I’m delighted to join Punjab FC and excited for this new chapter in my career. The rise of this club is a statement. Joining the Shers means stepping into a culture that values grit and elite performance above all else.”
The forward also outlined his ambitions for the season ahead, adding, “I’m not here to just meet expectations, I’m here to work with the team, push our limits, and make sure we dominate every single time we step onto the field.”
Punjab FC will hope the experienced Spanish attacker can make an immediate contribution as the club prepares for the new season, with Planas bringing experience from both Spanish football and Indian domestic competition into the squad.
