Reigning Indian Super League champions Mumbai City FC have announced the signing of Australian midfielder Bradden Inman. The Australian who has already plied his trade for ATK Mohun Bagan and Odisha FC has penned a single year deal with the Islanders.
Inman started his career in Newcastle United’s youth team. He has spent a decade in England featuring for teams like Crewe Alexandra, Peterborough United, and Rochdale AFC. He came to the A-League in 2019 when he joined Brisbane Roar. He finished the season in A-League with four goals and five assists from 25 league appearances.
His impressive performances for Brisbane Roar saw him earn a spot in ISL outfit ATK Mohun Bagan ahead of the 2020-21 season. But Inman failed to impress ATKMB head coach Antonio Lopez Habas and hence he was loaned out to Odisha FC in the January transfer window. He went on to feature in 13 matches in total netting a goal and also adding two assists to his name.
In between the two seasons, Inman also featured for A-League outfit Western United. But he only made five appearances for them.
The 29-year-old versatile midfielder is delighted to join the ISL champions and also wants to prove his talent on Indian shores. “I am pleased to join the defending champions Mumbai City FC. They have a clear goal and ambition about where they see themselves in the immediate future, which is to win trophies and be one of the best clubs in Asia, and my goal will be to do my best in my bid to help the club achieve its objectives.”
“It’s been a wonderful experience so far, for me, to play in India, and I am really excited to have joined Mumbai City. I feel like I have unfinished business in the ISL and I can assure the Club and the fans of my hunger to win football games with my new family.”
Mumbai City FC head coach Sergio Lobera was also ecstatic with the new signing as he feels that Inman will add a new dimension to his team’s attack. “We are delighted to have an experienced player like Bradden with us at Mumbai City. He’s a quality player, and he is someone who will strengthen our attacking unit. His strong play-making skills will bring a lot of intensity and energy into the side. I am looking forward to working with him, and I am eager to see him make a difference for us on the pitch.”
