UPB Fight Club reaches the Cultural Capital of Maharashtra – Pune!

UPB Fight Club Season 5, Edition 2 – UPB Fight Club comes to the Cultural Capital of Maharashtra that is Pune for the first time and the excitement in the Market is palpable. Fight Fans from Pune have been wanting UPB Fight Club to come here since its journey began almost 5 years back. An highly-adrenaline filled evening of Boxing is in store for all and no one can wait for it to begin.

UPB Fight Club to present its 28th Edition in the Queen of the Deccan – Pune on this coming Monday, where Fight Fans are waiting with bated breath to welcome the juggernaut of glorious Fighting action from some the top Prospects from the City and from four corners of the country.

The Main Fight of the Night is the 6-Round Super Featherweight clash between Keisham Luckysun Singh and Yuvraj Chaudhary. Lucky is the undisputed leader in his weight category and would want to put up a better show than what he did in March at the Season 4 Finale in Thane against Bhavani Prasad. He was making a comeback then after a hiatus of seven months and the rustiness showed, even by his exalted standards. He would want to make amends for that against Yavraj, who had a good performance against Brijesh in Mumbai last month. He went toe-to-toe with him and would definitely want to improve on that performance with Lucky. This last Fight of the evening would not be a one-sided show for sure and hence quite entertaining.

The Co-Main Fight is between Amarnath Yadav and Kuldeep Tarkar for 6 Rounds in the Featherweight category. Amar made an unsuccessful comeback in February in Mumbai against Pawan and would surely be wanting to get back to winning ways. Kuldeep, too is coming into this Bout from a shock loss in Goa last December, after a 3-KOs start to his career. He is raring to go and Amar would also have to count on local support, being the hometown boy, in order to counter Kuldeep for a win in this Bout. This is one of the blockbuster action of the evening.

The other Featherweight duel between Brijesh Kumar and Laikhuram Rohit Singh for 4 Rounds promises fireworks from the word go. Brijesh is an aggressive Boxer and would go from the first Bell whereas Rohit, who is coming back to the Ring after more than two years, would do his best to make this a memorable comeback. Rohit too is an aggressive Boxer and would not want to give Brijesh much ground to come at him with his ferocious punches. Both have two wins under their Belts and neither would want to leave the Ring with a loss. A thrilling contest in the offing and just this Bout itself promises to get the Fans their money’s worth on a Monday evening.

The 4-Round clash between Gatad Yash Kapubhai and Rohan Gaikwad in the Cruiserweight category is one of the heavier Bouts of the evening. Gatad had a memorable performance against Awes in Mumbai last month and had come back strongly after losing the initial Rounds. He would want to continue from where he finished the last Bout and take the fight to Rohan, who opened his Pro-account last month with a KO win. Though the pace might be a bit slower than the lighter categories, the heavier bodies clashing in the Ring is always a sight to behold. Rohan will have the crowd in his corner being the local boy and would need all of their support this time

The Super Flyweight clash between two local boys in Amay Sargade and Swapnil Samudre for 4 Rounds could be a see-saw one to say the least. Whilst the crowd will be divided among the Boxers, both would want to open their win account after the losing starts they have had to their careers. Amay is a hard hitter whilst Swapnil doesn’t have a sit back style. This would make it an explosive and entertaining Bout for the Fight Fans and is bound to amplify the action in Pune.

The Super Welterweight 4-Round clash between debutant Gurrala Srikar and newbie Himanshu Sharma is a surprise package of the evening. Gurrala is a 5-time Gold Medal winner in State Championships of Andhra Pradesh and Himanshu just started his professional career with a win in April. This one is difficult to Call since both are very fresh on the circuit however if their record and previous performance, respectively is anything to go by, one thing which can be said for certain is that Fight Fans can be at the edge of their seats whilst this one will be on in the Ring.

The Event opener is a 4-Round Featherweight clash again between two local boys in Ankit and Sunny. If their Amateur record is anything to go by, Ankit might appear to have an edge with Medals in multiple State Competitions leading up to his Pro-Debut on Monday, Sunny is no slouch, with multiple participations in State Competitions in the past. This Bout could just be the ideal opening the Fight Fans would be looking for on an explosive evening with multiple Bouts.

Pune, being the Cultural Capital of Maharashtra, has always been welcoming of new entertainment options. UPB Fight Club making its first foray into the City, is naturally with a lot of expectations to entertain the fun-loving audience to the fullest, with an exciting lineup of Bouts. It’s time to tell everyone to get their Gloves-off and get into the Ring of Boxing entertainment!
