PKL 12: Bengal Warriorz vs Haryana Steelers, Match 6 – Preview

Bengal Warriorz will kick off their PKL 12 campaign against reigning champions Haryana Steelers at the Vishwanadh Sports Club, Vizag on Sunday. Bengal Warriorz had finished in 10th place in the previous season and thus they would look to come up with an improved show in 2025.

On the other hand, Haryana Steelers were able to tick the right boxes in the 11th edition of the PKL and they would aim to replicate the same show.

The Warriorz were able to acquire the services of raider Devank Dalal at the recently concluded auction for a whopping INR 2.205 crore. The season 7 champions roped in Korean star raider Jang Kun Lee, the Scorpion Kick King, and added Himanshu to their squad.

Moreover, they were able to retain defenders Nitesh Kumar and Mayur Jagannath Kadam using their Final Bid Match (FBM) options for one season for PKL Season 12.

Meanwhile, the defending champions were able to retain captain Jaideep, Rahul Sethpal, Vinay, Shivam Anil Patare, Jaya Soorya NS, Vishal S. Tate, Sahil, Manikandan N and Vikas Ramadas Jadhav ahead of the auction. In the auction, they bought raider Naveen Kumar for INR 1.20 crore at the auction. 

The Steelers also signed Bangladeshi raider Shahan Sha Mohammed (INR 13 lacs), and retained Nepali raider Ghanshyam Roka Magar (INR 13 lacs), using FBM card.
