The two best teams of the ninth edition of the Pro Kabaddi League – Jaipur Pink Panthers and Puneri Paltan – will take on each other in the final of the tournament at the Dome, NSCI SVP Stadium, Mumbai on Saturday.
Jaipur Pink Panthers topped the standings with 15 wins, six losses, and one tied game and a total of 82 points under their bag to qualify for the playoff stages. Jaipur then went on to comfortably beat Bengaluru Bulls by 49-29 in the first semifinal. V Ajith and Sahul Kumar were the star of the show for Jaipur as they scored 13 and 10 points respectively.
On the other hand, Puneri Paltan won 14 matches, lost six, and tied two games to finish the league stage in second place with a total of 80 points.
Paltan bested Tamil Thalaivas by 39-37 in the second semifinal. Pankaj Mohite was the top scorer for the team in the semifinal.
When these two teams faced each other earlier in the season, Puneri Paltan won both games.
Arjun Deshwal will play the pivotal role for Jaipur Pink Panthers whereas Aslam Inamdar will be the crucial player for Puneri Paltan.
Match Prediction: Given their good form, Jaipur Pink Panthers will enter the contest as favorites against Puneri Paltan.
