Legendary Roger Federer has hinted that he would love to make a comeback to tennis and has revealed he might play exhibition games to fill stadiums once again. Federer is loved all across the globe by millions of fans and has played a key role in revolutionizing the sport.
Federer retired from professional tennis after participating in the Laver Cup in 2022 while playing alongside his former rivals like Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray, and Novak Djokovic for Team Europe in London.
In a recent interview with TNT Sports, Federer stated, “Honestly, I would love to play some more tennis again. Enough with the golf already for a moment now, I’ve played so much. But no seriously, I’d love to start playing like two-three times a week again and hopefully, get myself back on an exhibition court. Maybe fill up a few nice stadiums around the world.”
The Swiss Maestro has spent quality time with his family after calling time on his glorious career.
Federer revealed that he hasn’t made any concrete plans but plans to travel and play some exhibition games.
“I’ve no plans yet but I know that the training part, I miss it a little bit to be honest because I haven’t played a whole lot since I retired. Just because I think my body needed a little break and maybe my mind also a little bit. I’ve played with my kids, you know but I’d really love to practice a little bit for myself as well. So I’ll do that as I keep on traveling and hopefully, you’ll get to see me in an exhibition soon.”
Federer won a total of 20 Grand Slam titles in his glittering career and he was known for his panache on the court.
