NBA Match Prediction for Miami Heat and Indiana Pacers

If one wants to get his match prediction right as a bettor then it is crucial to consider the current form, head to head analysis and the strength as well as the weaknesses of both the teams playing. In the NBA bubble with no crowd, the home advantage has definitely come down but would still play some role.

In the Eastern conference, fourth placed Miami Heat will take on the Indiana Pacers in the postseason in the best of seven matches. We try to make a match prediction based on the current form and head to head analysis of both the teams.

Current form

The Indiana pacers will have the advantage over the Miami Heat on the basis of current form. Out of the eight matches played in the bubble, the Pacers have won six whereas they lost two.

On the other hand, it hasn’t been a happy restart of the Miami Heat as they have won only three and lost five matches since the resumption.

Both teams have taken on each other twice since the restart and have won one match each.

Head to Head analysis: Again the Indian Pacers have their wood on Miami Heat on the basis of head to head analysis.

Regular Season: Total matches – 117, Won by Pacers – 67, Won by Heat – 50

However, it is a slightly different story for the playoff stages:

Postseason – Total matches – 25, Won by Pacers – 11, Won by Heat – 14.

There is nothing to choose between the two sides in the recently concluded regular season as the Pacers won 45 matches and lost 28 whereas the Heat won 44 matches and lost 29.

Match Prediction – Both the teams are equal in strength and it would be about which team would put a better performance on the court on a particular day.

Given the current form and head to head analysis, the Indiana Pacers will be favourites to win against the Miami Heat. The first of the seven matches will take place on 19th August.
