It has an exciting off-season thus far as the NBA teams have added strength to their teams by roping the missing players. Philadelphia 76ers had a disappointing previous season as their journey was ended by Boston Celtics in the first conference round of the playoff stages as they were beaten 4-0.
Subsequently, Philadelphia have made changes to their coaching staff as they have roped in the services of former LA Clippers coach Doc Rivers. Rivers is regarded as one of the best coaches in the league and he is known to get the best out of the players.
Philadelphia also acquired the services of former LA Lakers players Dwight Howard and Danny Green, who both were instrumental in the success of their team in their 17th NBA title.
Meanwhile, Howard was full of praise for Ben Simmons after joining Philadelphia 76ers. Howard compared Simmons to young LeBron James. Simmons had missed most of the previous season due to injury and thus the team was dependent on the shoulders of Joel Embiid.
According to Tom Moore, Howard stated, “I’ve been saying for a couple years Ben Simmons is a young LeBron. I love the way he plays, how unselfish he is.… He has an opportunity to be one of the greatest to ever play the game.”
Simmons is a perfect team man and he has shown all the skills to go a long way in his career. The 24-year old player from Australia will look to keep improving and deliver the goods for Philadelphia 76ers in the upcoming season.
Howard has heaped praise on the youngster on the basis of his impressive performance as a guard in the first three NBA seasons of his career. Simmons has done well while playing offensively as well as defensively.
The next NBA season will begin from December 22.
