The LA Clippers made a resounding comeback after their previous last-minute loss against the Dallas Mavericks. The Clippers just obliterated the Mavericks by a huge margin of 43 points and won the game five of the series by 154-111, to take a 3-2 lead in the series.
Clippers’ big player Paul George starred for his team scoring a total of 35 points for the winners as he was at his best. Furthermore, Kawhi Leonard gave support to his teammate as he scored 32 points in the game.
Moreover, Montrezl Harrell got back into form as he scored 19 points and recorded 11 rebounds. Thus, it was an all-round performance from the LA Clippers on Tuesday night.
In fact, at half-time, the Clippers enjoyed a huge lead of 76-52 and there was no stopping them from thereon. On the other hand, Dallas Mavericks star player Luka Doncic, who scored a buzzer beater in game four of the postseason, recorded 22 points, eight rebounds and four assists in the game.
Meanwhile, Paul George played at the top of his game, as he was shooting 12-of-18 from the field and 4-of-8 from the deep. George also became the first NBA player to score 35+ points in 25 minutes of fewer in playoffs history since 1975. Thus, George was on a roll and completely blew off the Dallas Mavericks.
Consequently, if George continues his dream form going, it would be difficult for the Dallas Mavericks to make a comeback into the series. George will look to continue his good form and his teammates would like to support him.
The sixth match of the series will be played on Friday and it would be a do or die match for the Mavericks.
