I am just looking forward to it: Malik Monk on playing with LeBron James and Anthony Davis

The LA Lakers were knocked out from the very first round of the NBA Playoffs in the previous season and they will need to tighten the screws for the next edition. The team was dependent on the shoulders of Anthony Davis and LeBron James and the team’s hope of retaining their championship suffered a huge blow when both of their talisman players were injured during the regular season.

Davis and James returned back to court but they were not at their absolute best. Meanwhile, the Lakers have a busy off-season as they are trying to rope in players who can provide support to James and Davis.

The 17-time NBA Champions have roped in a big player in Russell Westbrook, who was in fine form in the last season. Furthermore, they have signed players like talented veterans like Dwight Howard and Carmelo Anthony.

Moreover, the Lakers have made signings like Malik Monk and Kendrick Nunn. Malik is looking forward to sharing the court with James and Davis and giving his best for the Lakers. The 23-year old from Kentucky feels Davis can play guard at any position and he will hold the key for the team.

“He’s a big man who can play the guard position and he can guard 1-5 as well,”

He added, “So if LeBron isn’t the biggest part, then AD is probably the key to this. Or I wouldn’t say the key, we’re all keys, but AD is one of the biggest parts of this team, man, because what can he not do? I’m just looking forward to it.”

The Purple and Gold will be determined to turn the tables in the next season of the NBA after they were knocked out early in the previous edition. The team will hope that the new signings like Russell Westbrook, Carmelo Anthony, Dwight Howard, Kendrick Nunn and Malik Monk will provide good support to Davis and James.
