Golden State Warriors talisman Stephen Curry is well known to be cool as a cucumber on the court. However, Curry was fired up when he was tackled by LA Clippers’ Terance Mann. The incident happened with 9:07 were left in the fourth quarter and Curry fell down on the court while trying to lay the ball in on a two-on-one play.
The possession was ruled an out-of-bounds play by the referee which left Curry frustrated and he let his emotions out. Thus, Curry received a technical foul which fired him even more for the rest of the game.
The linchpin scored 11 of his 33 points in the fourth quarter as once again came up with his best. Curry’s efforts helped his team in winning convincingly by 105-90 and this was their seventh straight win, which helps them have an 18-2 record in the ongoing season.
Curry feels he was fouled, which the ref didn’t give and it sparked the whole team.
“I thought I got fouled so I let my emotions go and definitely fired me up, fired our team-up. You have to be able to direct that energy into just putting the ball in the basket obviously after that. So that’s where I feel like we do it well, where you don’t let it become a distraction for the rest of the game, and it obviously helped open up the game.”
In fact, Curry has been in sublime form in the ongoing season. Curry has bettered his own record of scoring the fastest 100 threes in a season. The 33-year old has thus far added 105 threes to his ledger in the ongoing edition of the NBA in only 19 games he has played.
Speaking on Stephen Curry’s exploits, Warriors forward Draymond Green told reporters: “You saw the flurry coming. I was telling Jordan Poole, ‘he’s about to put this one up.’ He started putting them up. It’s good to watch.”
