The LA Clippers made a roaring comeback after their heartbreaking and unexpected loss to Brooklyn Nets. The second placed Clippers bounced back in style against the Denver Nuggets to win the match by 124-111 with Paul George top scoring for the winners with 27 points. Furthermore, Kawhi Leonard continued his sublime form as he scored 26 points in the Clippers win.
Patrick Beverely, who didn’t play the match, heaped praise on Leonard. Beverely said that Kawhi Leonard is the best player in the NBA. There is no doubt that Leonard is one of the best players currently in the NBA and he has been in sublime form since the NBA resumption in the bubble.
The small forward has been averaging almost 29 points per game in this NBA season whereas his shooting efficiency is 48% from the three-point line.
Beverley said that the people don’t believe him that Kawhi Leonard is the best player in the NBA.
Beverley said post the match, “I got the wire on. Let the people know why Kawhi is the best player in the NBA. They don’t believe me.”
Kawhi Leonard has proved his mettle in the past as he has been awarded the Defensive player of the year on two occasions whereas he is also the three-time All-NBA player.
Leonard is known for defensive skills and he has ticked the right boxes for the LA Clippers. Thus, there is no doubt that he is going to play a crucial role in the success of the LA Clippers going into the playoff stages, along with Paul George and Lou Williams.
The LA Clippers are placed at the second place in the Western Conference with 48 wins and the win against Denver Nuggets will be a great confidence booster for them after their loss against Brooklyn Nets.
The Clippers will next lock horns with Oklahoma City on 15th August.
