LA Lakers talisman LeBron James is one of the consistent players in NBA history. James has always come up with top-class performances in his career. The King is playing his 18th NBA season and he is one of the best players in the league. James has been in top form in the ongoing season and he is once again looking good to take the Lakers to another title.
In the match against Denver Nuggets, James could only score six points in the first quarter and also missed two free throws. However, he added 13 points to his bag in the second quarter.
James finished with 22 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists and top-scored for the Lakers in all three categories. However, James’ efforts went in vain as the Lakers lost by 122-105. Jamal Murray top-scored for the Nuggets with 25 points whereas Nikola Jokic registered a triple-double as he scored 23 points, 16 rebounds, and 10 assists.
Meanwhile, when James completed 15 points, 5 rebounds, and as many assists, he achieved another NBA record. James has played 27 games this season and this performance was the 28th straight game in which the King scored a minimum of 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists. This is the third-longest streak for any player in the NBA.
On the other hand, James’ teammate Anthony Davis had to leave the game after 14 minutes due to a leg injury. Davis scored 15 points, four rebounds, and provided one assist.
The Lakers have won 21 matches so far out of the 28 they have played. Furthermore, they had won seven matches on the trot before Denver Nuggets ended their winning streak.
