LA Lakers star player LeBron James is synonyms with breaking and creating new records. King James is regarded as one of the best players in NBA history. The 36-year has played in 18 NBA seasons and there is no doubt that he has still got some fuel left in his tank.
James has worked hard on his fitness and he has always delivered the goods for his team. In fact, it has been noticed that the careers of most of the players take a downward slope at the age of 36 years but James is still hungry for more success and he is going strong.
However, the talisman didn’t have the best of the previous season as he had to sit out due to injury. The linchpin scored 1125 points in the last edition of the NBA for the LA Lakers despite being injured and he will look to come up with a better show. There is no doubt that he will score more than 1125 points in the ongoing season if he stays at the top of his fitness.
Meanwhile, James has a sensational record in the playoff games and that is why he is highly regarded as he brings his best in the big matches. The Akron Hammer has scored 7631 points in 266 games, which is the most for any player in the postseason.
On the other hand, LeBron James will be hunting down to break two more records in the ongoing season. Kareem Abdul Jabbar (38,387) and Karl Malone (36,928) are the top two players in the all-time scoring list whereas James is in third place with 35357 points under his belt. Thus, he is now 3,020 points shy of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s all-time record and 1561 points away from Karl Malone.
Furthermore, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (15,837) and Karl Malone (13528) are ahead of LeBron James in field goals stats. James has made 12903 field goals in his career and 536 field goals away from overtaking Malone for the second spot.
LA Lakers will begin their NBA 2021-22 campaign against Golden State Warriors on October 20.
