LA Lakers legend LeBron James continues to break one record after the other. James has had a glorious career and he is achieving new heights with every passing season. The 36-year old had played a key role in Laker’s victory in the previous season and he has once again got off to a great start in this edition.
On Sunday, the LA Lakers registered their 15th win of the season as they defeated Boston Celtics by the skin of their teeth by 96-95. The Men in Yellow bounced back after two consecutive losses against the Philadelphia 76ers and Detroit Pistons.
Anthony Davis got back into form for the Lakers as he top-scored with 27 points and also registered 14 rebounds. James, as usual, played a key role in the Lakers’ win as he scored 21 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists.
This was James’ 854th win of his glorious NBA career, which is now 18 seasons long. Thus, the talisman has overtaken former Lakers great Derek Fisher and he is now eighth on the list of NBA’s all-time wins.
Not surprisingly the elite list is topped by none other than legendary Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Kareem registered 1074 wins in his special career which spanned for over 20 years as he played for the Lakers and Milwaukee Bucks. The former legend won six NBA championships in his career.
Robert Parish is in second place whereas Tim Duncan occupies third place in the list of most NBA wins. Late Kobe Bryant is in tenth place in the elite list.
Thus, James will need another 221 wins to leapfrog Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. James will look to continue his great form for the Lakers and help them defend their title in the ongoing season.
The LA Lakers will next face Atlanta Hawks on the 2nd of February.
