The LA Lakers star LeBron James played an instrumental role in taking his team to glory for the 17th time in NBA history. James is always motivated to give his best and the same was palpable when he went on to write his name in history books. This was James’ fourth NBA ring and he was awarded the Finals MVP for the fourth time in his illustrious career.
Consequently, the King played at the top of his game and took the LA Lakers to success. James scored 27.6 points per game in the 21 matches of the postseason whereas he averaged 25.3 points in 67 matches of the regular season.
Meanwhile, former LA Lakers legend Magic Johnson revealed what LeBron James told him before joining the team in 2018. The recently concluded edition was the second season for James at the Lakers and he was able to deliver the goods for the team. James had said to Johnson that he is going to take the Lakers to glory and he has kept his promise.
On the other hand, Magic Johnson also heaped praise on Anthony Davis for elevating his game and supporting James in the triumph. Both James and Davis were instrumental in the success of their team.
Magic Johnson said while talking on KJZ show, “LeBron James had said that he was coming to Los Angeles. He told me when I sat down with him that his whole purpose was to win a championship and put the Lakers back where they belong, and he did exactly that”.
“I think the world got a chance to see also that not only is LeBron James the basketball player in the world, but we also got a chance to see Anthony Davis perform on the biggest stage. And he dominated as well.”
LeBron James was in beast mode and led the LA Lakers with aplomb. The King was also able to get the best out of the other players.
