The LA Lakers Rajon Rondo has all the experience under his belt. Rondo was instrumental in taking the LA Lakers to their 17th NBA crown as he supported players like LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Rondo has mostly played against LeBron James in his long career but the Lakers provided him an opportunity to share the same stage with the legend.
The point guard was able to make the most of it and did a fine job for the Lakers. Meanwhile, Rondo is regarded as one of the best playmakers in the game and he came up with his best.
The two-time NBA champion has averaged 8+ assists in the last 10 out of the 13 seasons.
With a total of 1086 assists in his bag, Rajon is at sixth place in the NBA playoffs list of most assists.
Meanwhile, the LA Lakers were brilliant in the playoffs. The Lakers defeated Portland Trail Blazers by 4-1 in the first round after topping the regular season in the Western conference.
Subsequently, they defeated Houston Rockets by 4-1 in the conference semifinals and repeated the same performance against Denver Nuggets in the conference finals.
The Lakers went on to win the title after clinching the NBA finals by 4-2 against Miami Heat. Rajon Rondo stated there was no way a team was going to beat them four times before they beat them four times in the playoff stages. It was complete domination from the Lakers as they had a fabulous season.
Rajon Rondo said, “I told myself that if I was able to get with a guy like LeBron, there was no way that a team was going to be able to beat us 4 times before we beat them 4 times.”
Rondo and James were both instrumental in the Lakers success. James top scored with 28 points in the sixth of the NBA Finals against Miami Heat whereas Rondo scored 19 points.
