It is not easy for the world athletes to keep themselves fit at home amid the lockdown situation due to the coronavirus. One gets the feeling that the players might get rusty and they would take some time to get off the blocks. Indian captain Virat Kohli is known to be one of the fittest cricketers of the world and the talisman stated that he will be physically as well as mentally fit once the game returns after the pandemic situation is over.
Kohli added that he is keeping himself in the right frame of mind and he is desperate to hit the ground running once he gets back into action. The Indian captain is well known to focus on his fitness, which has helped him reaped fruits in all the three forms of the game.
Kohli said on Star Sports’ show Cricket Connected, “I am keeping myself positive and happy and just looking forward to life so that whenever I return to the game, I know I will be in a good position to start from where we left.”
On the other hand, Virat Kohli also took some questions on the show from his young fans. Kohli added that he is missing being on the field as the IPL would have been happening if there was no Covid-19 situation.
Kohli also talked about the positive mindset when one is playing at the International level. The Indian captain asserted that there is no scope of double thoughts and one should be clear in what he wants to do when he takes the field. Kohli believes a positive mindset helps the players in taking the right steps moving forward.
Meanwhile, Virat Kohli is one of the most hard working cricketers in the world. Kohli knew he had to work hard on his fitness and he was able to completely transform himself by changing his work ethic and his diet. The talisman has insatiable hunger to keep going and he likes to give his 120% on the field.
The right-hander has done a great job for the Indian team and he would like to continue in the similar fashion whenever he returns to action.
