The Indian captain Virat Kohli and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja are amongst the best fielders in the world. Both are livewires on the field and get to the ball in a jiffy. Kohli and Jadeja are super fit and they help the side in saving at least 20 runs in an innings. However, when it comes to hitting the bullseye, nobody comes close to Ravindra Jadeja.
We all have seen Jadeja hit the stumps from the end of the circle even when he has only one stump to aim at. Jadeja is known to get rid of the ball quickly and not many batsmen chance his arm for an extra run.
Star Sports Instagram page asked their fans who they would choose if they had one shot at hitting the stumps to save their lives. The handler gave two options – Virat Kohli or Ravindra Jadeja. Kohli himself answered that it would be his teammate and not him.
“If you had one shot at hitting the stumps to save your life, who would you choose to throw for you – Jaddu or Virat?,” StarSports’ Instagram handle wrote.
Kohli wrote in the comments section, “Jaddu. Everytime. End of debate”.
There are many fine fielders in the cricket world but India’s Ravindra Jadeja is amongst the top three fielders. Kohli had earlier also mentioned that it is impossible to outrun Jadeja as he is lightning fast.
Jadeja is poetry in motion when he is chasing the ball and it looks all too easy for him. The Gujarat all-rounder has worked hard on his fitness and he has been able to reap the fruits. Furthermore, Indian fielding coach R Sridhar has also played a key role in taking Indian fielding to new heights.
There are some great fielders like Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Ravindra Jadeja, Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya and Umesh Yadav in the team. These players have kept improving themselves in the field and a lot of credit goes to Virat Kohli for re-defining the fitness culture in the team.
