Former Indian opener Aakash Chopra has picked his best XI of Tata IPL 2022 on his YouTube Channel. Chopra selected Jos Buttler and KL Rahul as the openers of the team. Buttler was named the Player of the Tournament for scoring 863 runs in 17 matches for runners-up Rajasthan Royals.
Rahul had another impressive season in the IPL as he scored 616 runs in 15 matches for LSG. The renowned commentator picked Rahul Tripathi to bat at one down. The right-hander scored 413 runs in 14 matches for Sunrisers Hyderabad and impressed with his ability to hit the ground running.
Hardik Pandya is the captain of Chopra’s team as he scored 487 runs in 15 matches at an average of 44.27 and a strike rate of 131.26. Liam Livingstone makes the cut as he mustered 437 runs for PBKS at a blistering strike rate of 182.08.
David Miller takes the sixth place in the batting order as he scored 481 runs in the season. Andre Russell also gets a place in the team as he gathered 335 runs in 12 innings and also took 17 wickets in 14 matches for KKR.
Yuzvendra Chahal is the main spinner in Aakash Chopra’s best XI. Chahal bagged the Purple Cap as he scalped a total of 27 wickets in 17 matches for RR. Avesh Khan, Mohammed Shami, and Arshdeep Singh are the fast bowlers in Chopra’s team.
Shami scalped 20 wickets in 16 games for GT whereas Arshdeep took 10 wickets in 14 at an impressive economy rate of 7.70. Avesh Khan took 17 wickets in 13 matches for LSG.
