Mumbai coach reveals why Rohit Sharma is always prepared and proactive

Rohit is the current captain of the Mumbai Indians, the most successful franchise in the India Premier League (IPL) The club is a four-time winner of the cash-rich league.

Speaking on ‘Sony Ten Pit Stop’ show aired on Sony Sports Instagram page, the coach described the Indian batsman as an intuitive leader, adding that he gathers a lot of information as well, which he said is his strength. Therefore, Mahela admitted that he likes India’s white-ball vice-captain information-gathering ability.

Mahela, who calls the Vice-captain Ro, also pointed out that apart from the fact that the batsman does get a lot of information about the opponents, he also likes to know things. This, he said, Rohit uses in the middle.

The coach says after gathering the information, he is instinctive on the pitch as everyone sees him reacting to them when making the calls.

Apart from getting the needed information, Mahela noted that Rohit’s inquisitive mind also shows how much he thinks about the game and understand it.

This is where he said Rohit is seen as an analyst, after looking through certain stuff. He also said Rohit gets those little snippets from his teammates, and he is always prepared.
