Oman will host Mumbai for three T20Is and as many ODIs to prepare themselves for the upcoming T20 World Cup. It will be a perfect opportunity for the hosts to get some practice under their belt before the marquee event.
Meanwhile, Shams Mulani will lead Mumbai on the Oman tour and he will like to get the best out of the players. Mumbai will also have the services of players like Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shivam Dube, who have been released from the Rajasthan Royals squad and both of them will join the franchise after the completion of the series against Oman.
Furthermore, Armaan Jaffer, nephew of former domestic giant Wasim Jaffer, is also included in the Mumbai squad.
Former Mumbai stalwart Amol Muzumdar will be the team’s coach and thus it will be a good opportunity for the young team to learn from the veteran batsman.
On the other hand, Oman will open their T20 World Cup campaign against Papua New Guinea on 17th October and their players will want to get some practice under their belt.
