Quetta Gladiators will lock horns against previous season runners-up Peshawar Zalmi in the 22nd match of the Pakistan Super League 2022 at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore on Tuesday.
Both teams have thus far played seven matches out of which they have won three and lost four games.
Quetta Gladiators lost their previous match against Lahore Qalandars after they could only manage 142 runs on the board. Iftikhar Ahmed scored 52 runs in the last game and the Sarfaraz Ahmed-led team will need to come up with a better batting performance against Peshawar Zalmi.
On the other hand, Peshawar Zalmi had won their previous match convincingly against Karachi Kings by 55 runs. Hazratullah Zazai and Mohammad Haris had given a perfect start to their team as they had added 97 runs for the opening alliance. Furthermore, Salman Irshad and Wahab Riaz scalped two wickets each.
When these two teams had met earlier in the season, Peshawar Zalmi had won by five wickets.
