T20 World Cup 2021: Match Prediction for the game Sri Lanka and the Netherlands

Sri Lanka and the Netherlands have locked horns against one another in the 12th match of the T20 World Cup 2021 at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Friday.

Sri Lanka has already qualified for the Super 12s whereas the Netherlands has been knocked out of the tournament. Thus, it will be a dead rubber match between these two teams.

We take a look at Match Prediction on the basis of current form, head to head, stats, and players to look out for in the upcoming match.

Current form for the Netherlands: W L W L L

The Netherlands lost both of their matches against Ireland and Namibia. The Netherlands haven’t been able to bring their best to the table and they have been punished by the other teams. In fact, the Dutch team was able to post a decent total of 164 runs against Namibia but their bowlers could not defend it.

Current form for Sri Lanka: W W W W W

Sri Lanka has already qualified for the next stage as they registered a big win against Ireland by 70 runs in their last game. The Dasun Shanaka-led team will look to continue the good form as well as the momentum before the Super 12s. Wanindu Hasaranga had delivered the goods for the team with both bat as well as the ball.

Head to Head: Matches – 1, Won by Sri Lanka – 1, Won by Netherlands – 0.

Players to look out for: Stephan Myburgh, Ben Cooper, Colin Ackermann, Ryan ten Doeschate and Vivian Kingma will hold the key for the Netherlands.

Kusal Perera, Chamika Karunaratne, Avishka Fernando, Wanindu Hasaranga, and Dushmantha Chameera will hold the key for Sri Lanka.

Match Prediction: Sri Lanka will be favorites against the depleted Netherlands team.
