T20 World Cup 2024: India vs Australia – Dafanews Match Preview

India will square off against Australia in the 51st match of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium, Gros Islet, St Lucia on Monday. India has all but qualified for the semifinals whereas this will be a must-win game for Australia to make it to the last four. 

India has won both of their Super 8 matches against Afghanistan and Bangladesh while Australia was stunned by Afghanistan in their last game. We look at the current form, head-to-head, players to look out for, and squads of both teams in our match preview.

India has been unbeaten in the tournament so far as they have ticked the right boxes. The Men in Blue came up with an aggressive batting show against Bangladesh and they will want to keep up the good show. Moreover, India has been fantastic with the ball and has adapted well to the Caribbean conditions.

Australia will want to bring their A-game against the potent Indian team. The Mitchell Marsh-led team came up with an insipid batting show against Afghanistan. Barring Glenn Maxwell, none of the Australian batters could contribute with the bat.
