World Cup 2023: New Zealand vs Bangladesh, Game 11 – Match Prediction

The table-toppers New Zealand will face Bangladesh in the 11th match of the ongoing World Cup 2023 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai on Friday. The Kiwis have won both of their matches whereas Bangladesh have won one and lost one so far in the ODI showpiece.

The Blackcaps won their previous match against the Netherlands by 99 runs and will aim to continue the winning impetus. The Blackcaps have ticked all the right boxes in the game’s three departments and will be bolstered by the return of their full-time skipper Kane Williamson and veteran pacer Tim Southee. Furthermore, Mitchell Santner has been right on the money for the Kiwis in the first two matches, returning with seven wickets.

Ergo, it will be interesting to note their playing combination as they will have some selection headaches with players like Rachin Ravindra grabbing his opportunity.

On the other hand, Bangladesh lost their last game against England by a massive margin of 137 runs. However, the Chennai track will provide assistance to Bangladesh spinners and they will look to make the most of the conditions.

The likes of Shakib Al Hasan, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, and Mahedi Hasan will be the key for the Tigers.

Match Prediction: New Zealand will enter the contest as favorites against Bangladesh.

Bangladesh squad: Shakib Al Hasan (c), Litton Kumer Das, Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Najmul Hossain Shanto (vc), Tawhid Hridoy, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah Riyad, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Nasum Ahmed, Shak Mahedi Hasan, Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman, Hasan Mahmud, Shoriful Islam, Tanzim Hasan Sakib.

New Zealand squad: Kane Williamson (c), Trent Boult, Mark Chapman, Devon Conway, Lockie Ferguson, Matt Henry, Tom Latham, Daryl Mitchell, Jimmy Neesham, Glenn Phillips, Rachin Ravindra, Mitch Santner, Ish Sodhi, Tim Southee, Will Young.
