The Indian Hockey Women team forward Vandana Katariya and Midfielder Monika couldn’t hide their joy as they revealed that they are glad for being nominated by the Hockey India for the Arjuna Award.
The nomination was announced on Tuesday by the Hockey India, and Rani, who is the captain of the Women’s Hockey India team, has been previously nominated for the distinguished award of the Rajiv Gandhi Kehl awards. As her fellow teammates, Vandana Katariya, Monika, and Harmanpreet Singh, chosen for the Arjuna award.
Katariya appreciated her teammate by applauding their efforts and their constant support while she extended her appreciation to her fellow compatriots.
” It is merely remarkable to secure the nomination for the Arjuna awards. I know for sure that this nomination will be a substantial boosting factor for us in the coming years.”
“This wouldn’t have been possible without the consistent performance of my teammates, who made this possible for me. They have always been supportive, and i dedicate my entire performances to them.”
” I am also happy for my captain, Rani, who has been nominated for the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna awards and i will also like to say a big congratulations to her likewise Monika and Harmanpreet Singh for making the nominations .
India women Hockey team ha been impressive so far this tear taking a loom at their previous performance against some other team’s ranked high on the world rankings. The award has come as a form of recognition for players’ efforts, and this will make them give more to the country.
