In celebration of the international Olympics day, the Hockey India organized a webinar session on momentum as regards the post-COVID-19 Olympics.
Notable dignitaries in attendance were sporting legends like Leander Paes Abinav Bindra Anju Bobby George, Chairman of hockey Ace Foundation and other international invitees from the Netherlands and other media agencies in Inda.
The webinar organized by the youth and sports Department, Odisha, in collaboration with Naval Tata Academy with Deep Dasgupta, a former cricketer, is playing host to the dignitaries.
Discussions that emphasized the provision of better assistance and support for elite athletes to make a return to high-intensity training was discussed.
Dasgupta insisted it is highly impressive more than ever to remain active, stay refreshed healthy [ both mentally and physically ]”.
One of the dignitaries, Dr. Batra, revealed that three things shouldn’t be forgotten the “move, learn and forgotten” should be the three pillars of the Olympic Day Movement. Stressing on the fact, he added that the coming years are going to be essential, and focus will be on the elite athletes.” With 78 athletes already secured qualifications, i am extremely confident the numbers will rise, to 125 athletes, once international events kick off across the continent”.
“We have to be united to achieve medals at the forthcoming Olympics. Making India proud should be our desire and aim, as well.”.
