Wrestling veteran Chris Jericho who is currently with AEW Dynamite criticises WWE for not giving proper treatment and insulting two legends of wrestling in Paul Wight and Sting. Jericho accuses the WWE of not treating these two AEW stars properly during their WWE stints.
Both Paul Wight and Sting surprised everyone by joining the AEW Dynamite. Wight joined last week after spending two decades in WWE while Sting was a WWE Hall of Famer who joined AEW back in December last year.
In a recent interview with Digital Spy, the Lion Heart made comparisons between the WWE and AEW based on their treatment of the legends. He shared how AEW treats its legends well and makes them look great.
“These are guys that were kind of almost insulted in their WWE runs. [Sting and Wight were] definitely not treated with too much respect over the last few years. We treat our legends with respect, we don’t make jokes out of them and WWE is notorious for that, whether it’s Sting, Paul Wight, Tully Blanchard, Arn Anderson, Jake Roberts, Dustin Rhodes, or Chris Jericho. We know how to treat our legendary performers with respect and make them all look great and make them all worthy of being in AEW because if they aren’t worthy of being in AEW why would they be there?”
Jericho believes that Wight can mentor some of the youngsters in the AEW and also add experience to the locker room.
Veteran wrestler Paul Wight who earlier went by the name as the Big Show will not take part in the action at the AEW but also be a commentator for AEW’s YouTube show, AEW Dark: Elevation. He recently revealed that a Hall of Fame worthy wrestler will join the AEW and also make his debut at the AEW’s Revolution show.
Whereas WWE Hall of Famer, Sting will be a part of the action of AEW’s Revolution and will be paired up with none other than TNT Champion Darby Allin as they will go up against the pairing of Ricky Starks and Brian Cage who are known as the Team Taz in a tag team battle on Sunday, March 7.
