Jimmy Butler matches Dwyane Wade’s record for Miami Heat

Miami Heat has played at the top of their game in the recent past after having a poor start to the season. Heat had lost seven matches out of their first 11 games but they have been able to turn the tables. The previous season runners-up have lost only a solitary contest in their last 11 matches.

Thus, they have won 21 matches whereas they have lost 18 games to occupy fourth place in the Eastern Conference standings. Meanwhile, Jimmy Butler has been instrumental for the franchise with his consistent performances. In fact, Butler had missed the match against Atlanta Hawks on 3rd March and his team had lost that game, which is their only loss in the last 11 matches.

Butler has top-scored for the team in the previous four matches. The 31-year old was at his absolute best against Orlando Magic on Monday as the Miami Heat won by 102-97. Butler top-scored for the team with 29 points and also provided nine assists.

Butler has been in sublime form in the last six matches for Miami Heat and he has joined the franchise’s former legend Dwyane Wade in an elite record. Jimmy Butler has recorded at least 25 points and 8 assists in six straight games, tying Dwyane Wade for the longest streak in Heat history.

Butler will look to continue the good show and he is doing a tremendous job for Miami Heat. The talisman has missed 15 matches this season but he has impressed in the ones he has played for his team.

Butler is currently averaging 21.1 points, 7.4 rebs, 8 assists, and 2 steals in this season. In fact, these are better numbers that Butler has produced as compared to the previous edition.

Miami Heat will next face Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday.
