India Super League side Kerala Blasters FC have signed 18-year-old Givson Singh Moirangthem, ahead of the 2020-2021 Indian Super League season.
The midfielder joined from Indian Arrows after playing Sixteen times for the team last season, where he recorded two goals and 2 assists last season, which was his debut season in the I-League.
The young attacking midfielder joined the All India Football Federation Elite Academy in 2016, spending three years there before becoming a member of the Indian Arrows team.
He also played for the India U16 and U17 teams playing in the 2018 edition of the AFC U16 Championship, which was held in Malaysia and also played for the U19 national team.
The player reckoned with the move at the beginning of his career, stating that he is glad to be a part of the Kerala Blasters team.
“I’m extremely glad to be a part of Kerala Blasters, a club that belongs to an equally or more passionate state as mine for the sport. My career has just begun, and I have bigger dreams to achieve, for myself and for the team. I’m thankful to everyone at the club for welcoming me to the yellow family, and I hope to give it whatever it takes to live my dreams.”, Givson Singh said on The Bridge
Kerala Blasters assistant coach Ishfaq Ahmed referred to Givson as a player with a maturity way beyond his age. He stated that he will be a good addition to the team calling him one of the best players in India.
“I’m sure he’ll scale to greater heights if he continues working as hard. I’m very happy to welcome him to the team and wish him all the very best for his future.”, Ishfaq Ahmed was quoted on the bridge.
