Languishing at the penultimate position in the points table, Sunrisers Hyderabad will host Mumbai Indians at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Hyderabad in the 41st match of the ongoing IPL 2025 on Wednesday.
The Orange Army had kicked off their campaign on a high, smashing 286 (the second-highest total in IPL history) against Rajasthan Royals in their opener. But since then the sun hasn’t risen the way they would have liked and there seems to be some kind of an eclipse on their batting unit. At this crucial junction of the season, it is imperative that their batting department clicks as a unit.
Pat Cummins’ team has managed only two wins out of their seven matches and haven’t looked like a playoff qualifying team thus far.
On the other hand, Mumbai Indians have found a second wind after a slow start to the season. The five-time champions have won their last three games and the biggest positive for them is the return of form for their former skipper, Rohit Sharma.
Rohit scored an impressive 76 in the last game against Chennai Super Kings and MI would hope that the opener continues his good show.
