Former Atletico Kolkota and India Super League title-winning defender, Agus Garcia, has stated his retirement from football.
The 35-year-old Spaniard won the India Super League title with Atletico Kolkota in the 2019-20 season of the league.
He made his revelation on social media via Instagram, which reads: “At this date and having considered it, I want to share with you all this hard and difficult decision. After sixteen years as a professional football player, I’m retiring. I really want to say thank you to all the people I have met during these 16 years besides my family, friends, teammates, coaches, and many more.”
“Football has allowed me to live in six different countries within three continents. Travelling around the world, learning other languages, different cultures, and finding new understanding has enriched me enormously and created a sense of accomplishment, both inside and outside football,” Agus further speaks as quoted by a media outlet.
Meanwhile, ATK-Mohun Bagan revealed their colors and logo recently and also handed a new deal to Prabir Das to keep the youngster at the club till 2024.
“I am very happy to join ATK Mohun Bagan FC. I have received lots of love from both the clubs and the fans emotionally connected to both ATK and MB,” the player was quoted by a media outlet.
